Today, I had the degrading experience at 3450 Marron Rd. in Oceanside, Ca. I was returning an unopened box of food and requested a refund or exchange due to a food allergy. The manager was extremely rude and sexist. He eventually hastily screamed at me that I'm fraudulent for wanting to return unopened food and that it was, "absurd that "women" try to do this". He gained the attention of many customers and other employees, all looking at me sympathetically, that gave me the impression he has these sexist and ignorant outburst quite often. Little did he know that I have a master's degree in mass communication and have access to several media lists to all the local and national broadcasting outlets.
I asked for the manager's name upon leaving and a woman employee said it was Vince Tallahan (or something near it). She apologized and said this was not the first time he has displayed unsolicited rage.
I am writing about 2 separate issues, first we understand closing the Safeway in main st in Springfield, Or and remodeling the Alberstsinz which is way over due, though it kind of looks like your taking cheap short cuts compared to other stores. Like crap concrete floor, a joke if a customer service area., just because we live In Springfield doesn't mean we don't have standards.. back to my message, so with Safeway closing so many people that rely on public transportation and and walking including hundreds of seniors that live right behind Safeway, right now Albertsons doesn't have quite as good of sales as Safeway including the $5.00 Friday, is there anyway that more sales could be honored at Albertsons ?? Now my next commncern, my My Mom is 80 years old, she worked all her life, but due to life happening, she's on a fixed income,plus my being a Nurse that specialized in home care for years..well we've noticed your sales stink for seniors, how many little old ladies need 4 of anything, maybe do a special seniors excluded or veterans excluded you'd save a lot of people money to live on, and you'd be hero's to communities. I have been in touch with other grocery stores to see if they'd be more willing to work with seniors, I've received positive feedback.i look forward to fearing from you
Good Evening. My name is Andrew McGinnisBruno and i am usmc veteran that spent 8 years serving this country and 70% medically disabled and i will do my best to keep this email as calm as possible. And dont me started on my past 25 years of experience with dealing and trying to keep my business with this local store on route 66 in glendora as the only reason i go there or ever went there was so my grandma could save money becuase she has been living on a disability check ever since she got injured 30 years ago which is only 1300 dollars. If you know how exspensive it is to live in southern california even with a house that is payed off but literally falling off becuase it almost 60 years old and we havent been able to afford the upkeep since her husband pasted away almost 30 years ago. I am just saying with my own experience almost everytime even when I would come back home from leave to visit and help her out if she asked me to go to the store and ive been biting my toungue about every time she asked and just did it. Now we obviously can only afford to go shopping when on sale and litterally it might just be only me that this happens to and if it please just let me know and I wont bother you again and i will just let the other 30000 customers i see a year at the store i work at less than a mile away from this store where i literally sprint to grab every item that they want give their items ask very nicely for the amount of money grab their change and give it back to them in the same amount of time it takes a employee there to ring up 10 items to please never go or support this store or albertsons and since i know for fact i am well respected by every single customer i would also tell their friends to never shop there again. Im good at math kind so heres how it breaks down since this store cant obviously do simple math like only having 1 express lane and 2 regular lanes open when theres a rush a lines forming back all the way into isles when 2 employees are talking about ugg boot pictures on face book in the middle of a chip isle should equal open one or more lanes. And i dare you to tell me that my math is wrong or that your huge company cant afford to pay an employee who your already paying less than what they are worth the amount of labor it takes to count what ever the amount of starting money to put into a register turn on open the register and count the money after closing i will gladly help you guys for free even. Ill even conduct free training semenars for your whole company that will teach them work harder and faster when busy or under pressure and we can even conduct walking excersices with out having facebook open looking at ugly shoes that costs way to much. Ill even teach everyone why its bad to lie to a customer and tell them the store is out of stock becuase it not on the shelve on display because literally every this happens and i ask someone else to please check the back warehouse if the store that person has brought out every single time and if your one of those employees that goes the extra mile to help someone id recommend you look for a better career. If you want me to manage the whole company for free ill do that too as long as me and my grandma can get the 50 or so dollars a month we try and spend there to save money to have a roof and comforts in our home for free. Sounds like a great business proposition if you ask me.If Joe Albertson were still alive today and walked into this store and saw the work ethics, lazyness, and the lying that I have went or just saw that his whole company with over 38000 employess working here now was only being rated with one star now a days he would probably sell the whole company for ruining his name and all the hard work he put into these chain of grocery stores.

I also had a terrible experience at the Albertson in Phoenix, AZ. It was also a male employee. I spoke to the manager and he wanted to know what they could do to help? I suggested to re-train this individual on Customer Service. I also advised the manager that I will be forwarding my concerns to Corporate. I usually look over ignorance but this incident was totally unacceptable. However, I do like the store and service is usually good. I will rate the company on my normal experience.
The cashier never said hello. I asked how are you and she mumbled "good". Never said thank you or have a nice day. She forgot to give me the bag with my chicken breasts so once I got home and realized it, I got back in my car and drove back to Albertsons. I went inside and told her. I live less then 1 mile from a Safeway. I also live about 5 miles from a Walmart. I recently went to Safeway to purchase some muffin cup liners . The price was $3.49 for about 50 of these little paper liners. I didn't buy them because the price was outrageous. So I was in Walmart yesterday and thought I would see what Walmart wanted for these liners. 1 dollar. That's $1.00 for a pkg of 75 liners. I consider this an indication of what your Corporation thinks of Me. I will drive the extra miles to Walmart from now on.. By the way I also pass an Albertson's on my way to Walmart.

I had reported a fellow employee for sexual harassment. He followed me on breaks, followed me home once, i had to take a backway so he couldn't actually figure out where I lived.
I was eventually scared to even go to work when I could walk there within two minutes. He had started telling me that he was so dependent on me making him happy that if I didn't he had a 12 gauge waiting for him at home to finally use. He also told me that since he's working on getting his visa, if he gets deported back to Mexico we would have to then get married. Kept calling me on the register phones saying how amazing I am. This guy is crazy. Told me he was still hurt about this 19 yo that worked at Starbucks and got back with her boyfriend instead of him.
This guy is 37.
I brought it to my store directors attention. Which he didn't even write anything of what I was saying, no written record of my statement. He then asked me why I was so nervous I was shaking and he laughed in my face. I told him I wasn't comfortable working with him but I couldn't afford to get transferred because I could walk to work. I am right next to Albertsons. My store director then tells me that I wont get transferred, he's going to talk to the guy. On my day off I get a call, not even from my store director but one of my front end managers saying I got transferred and I start the next day. So I went from being able to walk to work to now being discriminated while struggling to find a way to my job. While this guy has his own vehicle and nothing happened to him. I tried calling HR, Pete who I then find out is good friends with my store director and he makes it very clear on the phone that he didn't care about my situation, called him back a few times and never got a call back. My union rep also didn't not help me. She let me know the here was nothing she could do because I got transferred and then wasn't forced to quit because now I had no way of getting to work. We don't have a bus route on this side of town.
So now I will be getting a lawyer. He does not deserve to work there. How many other females has he made uncomfortable and nobody did anything?? They were probably laughed at too or threatened with keeping their job.
That guy is still working there and i have even stopped shopping at this store because every time I've gone in hes stared me down making me feel so incredibly uncomfortable. This guy could of seriously hurt me.

Rock Springs, Wyoming meat department is absolutely terrible. Didn't even buy as there was a ton of out of date meat. I'll be taking my business to Smiths as their cases in the meat department were clean and the food looked fresh as the cases in the Rock Springs store were dirty and looked gross. It also smelled like standing water or something nasty. Will be telling everyone I know to shop elsewhere from now on.
I want to know WHY the stores in the Phoenix, AZ metro area do not answer the telephones in the evening? This is a constant problem not a one-time occurrence. Is it because the managers go home 5-6o'clock in the evening so the employees think they don't have to answer it? The one in Glendale, AZ actually forwards the calls to the Starbucks number inside the store! They don't answer either! You wonder why your sales are in the toilet?? Frankford storeDallas Texas. Customer Service is so bad I took some Coffee Cream back with receipt it way sour. Nobody would help. So upset this Store does nothing wouldn't give me my money or a store credit. The Management is horrible. I take things back with receipt and its ALWAYS NO NO NO. I am disabled and also took back unused items like vicks, ear oil, and ear sabs and they want to augure and make stress. I parked the scooter and left in tears. This is the only store close to our area. People complain all the time. So Rude. Could you please upgrade team work and customer service. You advertise products that you do not have . First example is the top Sirloin. I went to 2 locations that was "out" on the 1st day of sale. Yesterday I went to Vons and today I called my local Albertson store and they never got any of the Turkeys that were advertised at 47 Cents a pound. I feel you are misleading your customers. I was told that it was as supplies last BUT They never got any. So there was nothing a customer could do. Don't go to the store un til you call to see if they have theadvertised products 1st.
I am very freaking unhappy right now. Prescription was e mailed in from doctor an hour and half before I went into pharmacy to pickup and had to wait for 5 mins while clerks were chatting and I was only customer only to find out they had not even begin to fill. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
