My name is Robert Barnes, and I purchased carpet to be installed in March 2017. Contract number H2204-24547
After having to send the carpet I ordered back twice due to it being damaged on arrival, and selecting a carpet which was not what we wanted to begin with to be installed, we finally had the carpet installed early June. Within weeks the seams of the carpet in the main room were starting to come apart. I called to have this fixed shortly after the 4th of July, I believe I spoke with Dianne about this, and she said she would take care of it. I got a phone call from the installers the first week of August, saying they would be here to fix the carpet on Thursday August 10, 2017. They failed to show to the appointment, nor did I receive a call informing me of a cancelled appointment.
I have been out of town since the 12th. In the two weeks since this missed appointment I have not receive a call from either the installers, or from Dianne, or any other member of home depot.
This has been the worst purchasing experience of my life, and has assured me that I will no longer to business with home depot for anything. The carpet I wanted was sub-par manufactured, I was told I could replace with any carpet I choose, when I picked a similar pattern and weight by a different manufacturer (which cost about $1/ft. more then what I originally purchased) I was told, oh, sorry, we didn't mean any carpet, we meant something that is the same price or less. Then the installers do a shoddy job on the carpet we really didn't want in the first place. It has been over 5 months since I came into the store for what should have been a routine purchase and professional install. I still have not received what I paid for, let alone what I wanted when I originally made my purchase.
I am going through an ordeal with carpet. Carpet cut short and just butts to base board-- laid not installed. Getting run around from installer corporate and local installers. Installer corporate office continues telling me I have life time warranty for workmanship. I need someone to fulfill that warranty.

I would like you to stop selling plants that are sprayed or that are grown from GMO seeds containing neonicotinoids or at least give those people who care about this earth a choice of buying those plants free of this pesticide. If you ask any sales person in the garden dept. they know nothing but should know what is and is not contaminated with a neonics. It is destroying millions of bees that we need to pollinate the food WE all eat, including you. Honeybees are critical to our food supply as over 1/3 of the foods we eat are pollinated by honeybees. The big AG companies should be more concerned over this than anyone. But as usual, its the small group of consumers that have to fight for anything that hurts this planet.
The worst experience I have ever received in 20+ years of home ownership. Started a home project Labor Day Weekend needed to replace my basement door and storm door before winter arrived Went to the Roxbury, NJ location for assistance. Terrible customer service, communication and follow up.
Installer finally arrives today to install the 2 custom sized doors, the storm door was not custom size, unable to install - basement door is not tho- incorrect weather stripping.
Trying to get problem resolved is a joke! Will never use Home Depot again

My husband and I have been very loyal Home Depot customers since the early 1990's, We have done countless projects in various homes and offices using products and installer's from Home Depot. We have also purchased many tools, plants, appliances, etc... from them.
Recently we began two projects with them. We started the projects over three months ago. To this date neither have been completed. but yes, we have paid the 5k to do them. While I realize this is not all Home Depot's fault, but the installers that they contract with, I believe it to be the responsibility of Home Depot to call and keep us abreast of the situation and to follow up. Not a recording, a real customer service person, or better yet, a person from the store where we do business.
Before you do a project with Home Depot, I would urge you to ask for references for their installers, guarantee's of when you can expect the project to be completed. Take your time in choosing which home improvement store you will use for projects or products by checking reviews and ratings. This is your right and responsibility as a consumer. I wish I had done this. Maybe I wouldn't still be waiting to have a broken window replaced and three exterior doors installed three plus months later.
My wife and I love to shop at the store in Honesdale,Pa . Everyone is always friendly and helpful and the staff are very knowledgeable about what the store and where the items are located. Mark and Kevin the two managers are very generous and giving, they go above and beyond to get what we're looking for even if they don't have it in their store. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful and theball should be rewarded for their wonderful service!!! You are truly blessed to have such dedicated and helpful staff in your store. Thank you.
Are you kidding me!! We were in today, 2/3/2018 12 noon. Asked an employee some questions, and acted so arrogant and made us look and feel like idiots!! Again are you kidding me!! As we walked away in awe he was making jokes!! Called manager this evening and made me feel like I was wasting his time. Once again, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!

For years Home Depot has ignored the demands of sub-contracted low-wage janitors that clean you stores in the Twin Cities. At the same time, Home Depot has funded attacks on immigrant communities by giving $1.2 million in campaign contributions to politicians working to repeal DACA protections for Dreamers and immigrant families. You can continue to side with the racists and white supremacists who run this government. Or you can stand up and do the right thing. I purchased a 4000.00 bbq island from Home Depot I verified with rep that it would be delivered to the back yard. He told me if they had to the local store would be there to help. I received a call saying it will be delivered tomorrow at 6:45 am.
I again called the on line rep to make sure it would be delivered to the back yard and she informed me it would only be dropped of in my driveway. Really how do they expect us to get an 800 pound island into the back yard? Why sell it if it can't be delivered.
This should have been relayed when I ordered the unit, now it has to be cancelled after it's been shipped and ready to be delivered this is bad business and very disappointing. Order #w915094552

I have been a H D customer in VA and GA for more than 20 years. I have spent in the last 9 months more than $20,000.
Two weeks ago I bought a $50. Gallon of paint,when I put it on the door it did not match the sample board. When I told them they said too bad policy no credit toward new paint. Got another gallon same problem did not match sample card. Same deal for this return had to get s third one which we had them mix from my sample. Still no credit. I would have gone somewhere else but I was paying painters to keep repainting.
I understand policy but your site indicates it is the managers discretion.
I have spent about $11,000. At this store since I moved here in July. I plan to buy 1500 feet of flooring next month and drywall, electrical, and plumbing materials for my basement finish. Because of the treatment about $100. In paint I will not be using Home Depot. In VA we received excellent treatment. Sorry to part ways but you have to value your customers and this store manager does not.
